The 6th Oklahoma Invitational proved to be another success for economic development in the state. 26 guests accepted Governor Henry’s invitation to play golf at Oak tree and Southern Hills in this three-day event.
At the opening reception and dinner in Oklahoma City, Governor Brad Henry and Mayor Mick Cornett welcomed our guests and hosts. The following evening, Mayor Kathy Taylor welcomed everyone to her home and to Tulsa for the reception and dinner.
T. Boone Pickens, CEO of BP Capital was our guest speaker for the opening event. “A Conversation with Oklahoma’s Boone Pickens,” chaired by Burns Hargis, provided interesting discussion and comments by Mr. Pickens.
Peter Kessler, golf analyst, was the featured speaker for the second evening and once again entertained the group with his interesting stories and experience.
